Argentina
Co-exhibitor of PROMENDOZA
The winery was founded in 1868 by brothers Santiago and Narciso Goyenechea,
Basque immigrants who, once settled in the city of Buenos
Aires, started their business as wine and liquor merchants. At the beginning
of the century, the Company acquired lands and a warehouse in
Villa Atuel (1200 has), in the department of San Rafael, in the south of
the province of Mendoza, where the winery was established. In Buenos
Aires, remains the central administration which includes Sales department
and warehouse. Today, almost 150 years later, the Company is
being run by the family’s Forth and Fifth Generation members who
keep on working with the same energy and enthusiasm in achieving the
highest standards of excellence in winc production. Today Goyenechea
is one of the oldest established, independent, family-owned wineries in
Argentina.
